No Win, No Fee Personal Injury Solicitors
We are proud to say that we work on a ‘no win no fee’ basis. This means that you are unlikely to be required to pay any legal fees if your case is unsuccessful. If we win your case, our success fee will be deducted from your damages at the conclusion of your case. The success fee is capped at 25%.
We always offer our no win, no fee agreement in conjunction with an ATE insurance policy so that you will not incur any personal liability for your opponent’s legal costs if the claim were to fail.
If you lose, you will not be required to pay for the insurance. If your claim is successful, you will be responsible for the payment of our success fee and the insurance premium which would be deducted from your final award of compensation.
More details can be provided about our retainer and ATE insurance premium during your initial consultation. Have a look at our funding section for more details.
Making a Personal Injury Claim
You will be able to claim for personal injury if it is likely we can prove that you suffered an injury due to the negligence of a third party. This third party could be your employer, a road user, the manager of a building, the local council or a medical facility.
You have three years from the date of your accident to lodge your claim with the court. As some personal injury claims can be particularly complex, we would recommend starting your claim as early as possible to avoid the claim becoming statute-barred.
The amount of compensation you will receive will depend on a number of factors, including the severity of your injuries, the impact the injuries have had on your life, as well as any additional financial losses, such as loss of earnings for time off work and medical expenses.
Personal injury claims can take months to years to settle, depending on the circumstances and the complexities of the case. For example, cases that progress to court proceedings will likely take longer.
Contact Beacon Law today to find out more about making your personal injury claim and get the compensation you deserve.
How much compensation could I receive for claiming personal injury?
It is difficult to determine the exact amount of compensation you will receive for your personal injury claim from the outset, as each case is unique. Therefore, the exact value of your claim can only be determined on a case-by-case basis when sufficient evidence has been provided to allow us to value your injuries.
Compensation is typically split into two sections: general damages and special damages.
General Damages
General damages refer to the compensation you will receive for your pain, suffering and loss of amenity. “Loss of amenity” is the legal term that refers to the impact that your accident or injury has had on your quality and enjoyment of life.
Special Damages
Special damages refer to the financial losses incurred as a direct result of your assault at work. Some examples of special damages include:
- Travel and transportation costs – this can be for travelling to and from medical appointments.
- Medical costs – this can include medical expenses, such as medication and consultation fees, and costs for long term treatment, such as physiotherapy or counselling.
- Loss of earnings – you should be able to claim for loss of income compensation if you needed to take long periods of time off work as a result of your injuries.
It is very important to keep all receipts and invoices for your special damages, as they will be required to prove your financial loss.
