Usama Abdelkadir is part of the New Enquiries Team at Beacon Law, where he supports people making their first contact about a personal injury or medical negligence claim. He has worked in this role for three years, guiding new clients through the early stages of their claim and connecting them with the right solicitor at the firm.
Usama’s day-to-day work centres on new enquiries, complaints, and general client queries, some of which fall outside personal injury altogether. This breadth has given him strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to understand a client’s situation quickly and point them towards the right next step. He is particularly focused on helping new clients feel assured and supported as their claim is set up, recognising that the process can feel unfamiliar or stressful for many people arriving at the firm for the first time.
Before joining Beacon Law, Usama built his career in the telecommunications industry, principally at Virgin Media and Vodafone. He holds a BA (Hons). This customer service and complaints background underpins his approach to new enquiries, where clear communication and careful listening make the difference at a client’s first point of contact.
Usama values open, honest conversations from the outset, as he believes this is what builds trust with a new client. Taking the time to understand a client’s situation properly allows him to set realistic expectations about the process, potential outcomes, and next steps. He is mindful that many clients are dealing with a stressful or uncertain time, so clear, straightforward communication matters throughout.
Usama was drawn to Beacon Law by its clear focus on positive outcomes and a genuinely client-first approach, which matched the values he wanted to bring into the role. He is looking forward to helping the firm introduce new technology in a way that keeps clients feeling supported and listened to rather than sidelined by process. He is also keen to develop his knowledge of digital marketing and to get more involved in client-facing content as the firm grows.
Outside the office, Usama looks after domestic animals and pets, enjoys hiking, and is a keen trading card collector who regularly attends events and tournaments.
