Michael Topper is an Associate at Beacon Law, working in personal injury law. Mike has focused on this area for 30 years, building experience across road traffic accidents, workplace accidents, and occupiers’ and public liability claims.
Mike’s caseload centres on road traffic accidents, accidents at work, and occupiers’ and public liability claims. Three decades in personal injury work has given Mike a broad grounding across these case types, built case by case rather than through a single specialist niche.
One case Mike is particularly proud of involved a teenage boy who was hit by a stolen car while crossing the road, sustaining life-threatening injuries. Mike secured a strong financial settlement and helped arrange the rehabilitation that supported his recovery. The rehabilitation mattered as much as the settlement: the boy returned to education, achieved good results, and went on to university.
Mike treats every client’s case with the same level of care, rather than focusing on particular case types or client groups. The aim is straightforward: give clients confidence, in Mike and in the wider Beacon Law team, that they’ll get the outcome and service they need.
Mike joined Beacon Law for the team and the people. What stood out was the firm’s size paired with its experience: small enough to specialise properly, which lets Beacon Law offer clients a genuinely personal service. Having built on his first year at the firm, Mike is focused on continuing to deliver that same standard of service for clients.
Outside work, Mike spends time with family and children, and follows his interests in cycling and football.
