Karen Sproston is a Solicitor and the Senior Partner at Beacon Law. She has over 30 years’ experience in the legal sector, supporting clients through personal injury claims and the more complex, sensitive cases that come with serious injury.
Karen qualified as a Solicitor in 1995 and holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Personal Injury Law. She built her early career at both large and boutique firms across Manchester before founding Beacon Law in 2002. Her focus has always been personal injury, with the depth of experience to take on complex and clinical negligence matters when they arise.
Karen holds a Law Degree and qualified as a Solicitor in 1995, going on to complete a Post-Graduate Diploma in Personal Injury Law. In the early stages of her career, she served on national committees for The Law Society, having been elected by her peers. She remains a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), and keeps closely up to date with developments in personal injury law.
Karen founded Beacon Law with the aim of delivering a more personal, compassionate approach to legal services, and that continues to shape how she works with clients today. As Senior Partner, she oversees the firm’s litigation and file handling, and provides strategic guidance on the firm’s more serious and high-value cases.
Karen is responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm and plays a central role in maintaining high standards across the team. Her commitment to client care and justice, present since Beacon Law’s founding, continues to define the firm’s approach.
Beyond her professional life, Karen is a keen advocate for animal welfare and enjoys spending time with her dogs and cats, as well as reading, listening to music, and being with her family.
